A plain-English look at what these tools are genuinely good at, where they get things wrong, and how to check their work before it reaches a customer.
OutcomeYou can tell the difference between a task worth handing to AI and one that is not.
The practical differences between the main tools, what the free versions cover, and a simple rule for picking one instead of trialling all three forever.
OutcomeYou have chosen one main tool and know why you chose it.
How to give the tool enough context to write in your voice, and how to build a small set of reusable replies for the messages you send every week.
OutcomeThree saved replies you can reuse for common customer situations.
Working with documents: summarising, extracting details, drafting a quote structure, and checking figures yourself before anything goes out.
OutcomeA repeatable way to get from a long document to a short list of actions.
Why generic AI copy reads badly, and how to feed in real details — your jobs, your suburb, your customers — so the writing sounds like you.

Turn what is in your head into written procedures, then keep them somewhere the whole team (and your AI tool) can actually use.

A short audit method: track where your week goes, score tasks by frequency and annoyance, and pick the one with the best payoff.
OutcomeA shortlist of three tasks ranked by time saved versus effort to set up.
Put it together: an intake step, a decision step, a drafting step and a human check. Small, boring and reliable beats clever and fragile.
OutcomeOne working workflow running in your business, with a human review step.
Before you start
Do not paste customer personal details, health information, identity documents, payroll or financial records into public AI tools. Once it is in, you cannot take it back, and you may have obligations under the Australian Privacy Principles.
Practise with de-identified versions — swap real names and addresses for placeholders. Everything in this course works just as well that way.
Next step
The two-hour Hobart workshop is where you set this up on your own laptop, with your own task, and walk out with it working.
